How to Shrink a Drive in Windows 10 | Create a New Partition in Windows

Today in this post, We will learn about how to shrink a drive in window 10, we have to follow some simple step to do this. How to Shrink a drive in windows 10 and Create a New Partition in Windows

Step 1: First of All, Open Run (Winkey + r) window and type diskmgmt.msc or

Right click on My Computer >>manage>>Disk Management  or 

 

Just create any file and rename it "diskmgmt.msc".

Step 2: Now select and right click on drive which you want to shrink.

Step 3: Click on Shrink Volume Option. 

Step 4: Now enter the amount of space which you want to shrink. press Shrink.

NOTE: you have to enter lower value than shrinkable space.

Step 5: Now You will see a Free Space of size, you mentioned to shrink. Now Right Click on that Free Space and choose new simple volume. Follow the process.
